Update: Mayoral Candidates Releasing Contributors Lists

At least two candidates for mayor in Windsor so far has taken up the challenge to release a list of contributors to his campaign.
Drew Dilkens released the list containing the names of 66 businesses and 92 individuals Thursday. More notable names on the list include the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Union Local 494, prominent Windsor doctor Fouad Tayfour, Ward 5 incumbent Ed Sleiman and developers the Collavino Group and Mady Corporation. Dilkens is the largest contributor on the list donating $30,000 to his campaign.
Fellow mayoral candidate Robin Easterbrook issued the challenge. Four contributors are listed online.
The John Millson campaign’s list totals $89,599 in donations from 62 individuals and 58 businesses. Among the more notable contributors to his campaign, former Prime Minister Paul Martin and former Ontario education minister Dave Cook.
The campaign for Larry Horwitz followed suit by late Thursday afternoon with a list detailing $13,636 in financial contributions. It shows six businesses and 42 individuals have made donations to Horwitz’s bid for mayor.
Campaigns must record all contributions over $100 and the limit for individuals, corporations and unions is $750.
There are 12 candidates running for mayor in Windsor including Timothy Dugdale, Raymond Poisson, Ronald van Dyk, Steve Gavrilidis, Mike Tessier, Jaysen R. Sylvestre, Ernie The Baconman and Bruce Martin.
