Panik Joins Maple Leafs

Former Windsor Spitfire Richard Panik is now a Maple Leaf.

Toronto claimed the 23-year-old off waivers yesterday from the Tampa Bay Lightning.

In 75 NHL games, Panik’s collected eight goals and 14 assists.

The Slovakia native played 33 games in Windsor back in 2009-2010, recording 18 points.
