Josh Ho-Sang is back in Windsor after spending his first NHL pre-season training with the New York Islanders.

The forward feels ready to help a young Spitfires squad become better, and maybe even play a role in more Windsor players getting drafted to the National Hockey League in the future. “I want to try to show the younger guys what it takes to get there so that they can skip steps that I had to learn once I got there.  Also helping them out with their mentality on the ice,” explains Ho-Sang.

When comparing NHL play with that of the OHL, the 18-year-old compares it to the way he felt when he was an OHL rookie.  He says everyone is simply bigger and faster which means players have less space to work with on the ice.

Ho-Sang won’t be in the Spits line-up until next week as he serves the end of a suspension he got for a hit on a London Knights player during the playoffs last season.
