Windsor Police Arrest Identity Thief
A 41-year-old Windsor woman using the identity of a deceased girl now faces a number of criminal charges.
The Windsor Police Service Financial Crimes Unit, with the help of the Ministry of Transportation, discovered that a local woman had obtained two licenses — one under her name, and one adopting the name of a 4-year-old who died in 1974.
Police say the accused has been using the name Rozalia Kovacs, as well as her own, since 1997.
Kornelia Kurti now faces 13 identity theft and fraud-related charges.
