The Windsor Spitfires are on a two game losing streak after being defeated by the Guelph Storm 2-1 Sunday afternoon at the WFCU Centre.

The Spits had an early 1-0 lead, with rookie Logan Brown finding the back of the net. The game was tied 1-1 for much of the game until the last eight minutes of the third period when Guelph scored its second goal.

Coach Bob Boughner says Sunday’s loss is all a part of the team’s growing pains. “We got a lot of young guys playing some bigger minutes that they’re probably not used to against some good players,” says Boughner. “We’re hurting without, obviously, Ho-Sang and DiGiacinto and Moore got suspended tonight, but that’s no excuse, other teams got guys in NHL camps still as well.”

The Windsor Spitfires next game is at home against the Barrie Colts October 2.
