The Essex 73’s open their season at home tonight against the Amherstburg Admirals.

Head Coach Gil Langlois says there are more new faces on the roster this year than there have been to start the last three championship seasons.

However, he says his returning guys are great leaders and strong players. “We’re going to be a bit young on the back end, in D and in goal. But with the attitudes we have and the skill sets of the new guys we’re bringing in, I’m optimistic that we’re going to be okay.”

The Admirals and 73’s played twice in the pre-season, each winning once.
