Spits Suffer Lopsided Exhibition Defeat

The Spitfires have been hammered 10-2 in their preseason opener in Plymouth, Michigan.
Matt Mistele led the way for the hometown Whalers with a hat-trick. Newly acquired Logan Brown and Aaron Luchuk notched the only two goals for Windsor.
The Whalers dressed a lineup primarily of veterans, while the Spitfires opted to ice a team largely consisting of rookies.
Both teams square off again this coming Thursday night at the WFCU Centre.
