Vipers Turning To Youth

LaSalle hosts the first of two pre-season games tonight against the Leamington Flyers.
Vipers Head Coach Bill Bowler is looking to fill a bunch of roster spots after 14 players from last season moved on. He says the challenge isn’t simply filling those spots, it’s finding the right players for them. “They’re just going to be younger players and hopefully it doesn’t take them long to adjust to our league, but the reality is that it’s very difficult for rookies to step in and have immediate success. Having said that, we know (the players in our camp) are very good players, and in time they’ll be excellent Jr. B players.”
Puck drop is set for 7pm.
The second game between the two goes Friday in Leamington.
