Leamington Internet Voting Demonstration

Leamington residents will get a chance tonight to test out the town’s new Internet voting system.
Leamington Director of Corporate Services Brian Sweet says on election night, Oct. 27, the town will become the first in Canada to allow Internet-only voting for an election.
He says tonight will give residents an idea how it will work. “We wanted to have a demonstration for any of those voters to show just how it will work. They will have the opportunity to vote in a demonstration election. It isn’t, of course, the real ballots.”
The information session is from 7pm to 8:30pm in council chambers. Sweet says it’s also a good chance for people to find out if they’re on the voters list.
