The Windsor Stars are heading back home with a win after beating the Cataraqui Clippers in Kingston 3-2 on Sunday.

It was a goal in stoppage time from Stars striker Stephen Ademolu that sealed the win.

“You know I haven’t had one of them in a while so it felt good, especially after we had a long drive, so we had to win because we’re not going that far to lose,” says Ademolou, also crediting a stellar pass from Stars midfielder David Kadoic and creative dribbling from teammate Mike Pio in setting up the headed goal.

The Clippers scored inside the first minute of play, but the Stars were able to regain their composure with the score level at 2-2 by halftime.

The Stars are back at home at McHugh Park on Saturday against the Woodbridge Strikers for a 7pm kickoff.
