Tenders have been awarded, as Kingsville moves forward with nearly a million dollars worth of road work.

Shepley Road Maintenance Limited will do tar and chip work on two stretches of Road 3, and 8th Concession between Hwy. 3 and Arner Townline for $650,000.

Mayor Nelson Santos says they had to reduce the project on the 7th Concession in order to come under their budget of $692,000. “Some of the dollars that we still have within our budget will go to fixing problem areas right away so that they will be addressed. And then we will do the entire stretch next year as part of the budget deliberations.”

Meanwhile, about $250,000 goes to Coco Paving as it undertakes work on Main St. E in Kingsville, from Jasperson Ln. to Bruce St., in the next two months. Main St. W will also be renovated between Division Rd. and Queen St.
