A League1 Ontario soccer team is getting the boot for not complying with league standards.

Chair of the league Dino Rossi says Internacional de Toronto’s licencing agreement has been terminated, but he wouldn’t go into details about why the league made the decision. Rossi says all of the results involving that team will be erased.

“It’s as if they didn’t play,” says Rossi. “Games that they have played will be wiped out and it will essentially become a 16-game season instead of an 18-game season.”

Windsor Stars President Vancho Cirovski says that could be a good thing for his club because the only point Inter was awarded came in a tie against Windsor. Rossi says all of the 9 teams that are still in the league are doing a good job of complying with the agreement.
