OLG Gaming Payment Rises

The City of Windsor will see a big first-quarter payment from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

A total of $2,989,510 is coming to the city via Caesars Windsor.

To date, the city has received more than $11.7-million in non-tax gaming revenue.

Under the current formula, municipalities receive 5.25% on the first $65-million of slot revenue, then the percentage decreases as profits rise.

The OLG provides the Ontario government with about $2-billion dollars a year.
