Windsor Officer Still In Hospital

The Windsor police officer involved in Friday’s ATV accident along the riverfront remains in hospital today.
Sergeant Matthew D’Asti says the officer was hurt pretty badly. “He has sustained several fractured ribs so he has a bit of a road to recovery,” says D’Asti. “He is in quite a bit of pain, but his spirits are improving.”
D’Asti says the officer lost control of the vehicle on some uneven ground and was thrown into a tree.
The officer is a 29-year veteran of the service.
