A new craft beer festival is coming to McGregor.

The McGregor Mug Run and Craft Beer Festival features a 5 km late afternoon race that ends at the festival in Co-An Park which will have ten Ontario craft breweries on site.

Organizer Ryan Raymond says he’s been doing the mug run for a couple years and really wanted to expand the event this year. “If I was going to do this run, I needed to make it fun and to make it unique. That’s when I decided to do it on a Saturday night instead of a normal Sunday morning run, and have a post race with some beer and some entertainment and do things a little differently.”

The festival and run are Saturday, September 13, and proceeds from the event will be donated to the McGregor Health Centre and to ERCA’s Trail On Campaign. For tickets and registration visit mcgregormugrun.com.
