Right-winger Josh Ho-Sang is expected to be the first Windsor Spitfire off the board at today’s NHL Draft in Philadelphia.

National Hockey League Central Scouting has him ranked 22 among North American skaters, while International Scouting Services puts the crafty forward at 18 overall.

After speaking with a number of representatives from different clubs, Ho-Sang says he has no expectations of where he might land. “I feel confident that I let a lot of the teams know who I was, and I think that will definitely sway some minds and change some people’s opinion of me. But you can only control so much.”

Spits Forward Ryan Foss and Defenceman Patrick Sanvido also rank in the top 140 North American skaters, according to NHL Central Scouting. Belle River native Aaron Ekblad isn’t ranked lower than third overall on any scouting list, and is expected to be one of the first players taken at today’s NHL Draft.
