A Windsor man is facing charges for the sale and distribution of contraband tobacco products.

After a RCMP investigation on Campbell Ave. and Pierre St. in Windsor, the 56-year-old was arrested Friday, June 20 and 232 cartons of contraband cigarettes were seized.

The man faces charges of possession of unstamped tobacco and other related offences under the Excise Act 2001.

He was released from custody and will appear in a Windsor court in August.
