The Windsor Essex Economic Development Corporation is expanding its resources to help new and exiting businesses in the region.

At its annual general meeting, CEO Sandra Pupatello spoke of two recently established databases that are becoming crucial resources in attracting business and helping existing business.

“People can now search our region via the materials that they need in their product or the kind of process that they’re looking to get done,” she says. “They don’t need to know the name of a company in order to find us and that’s the beauty of it.”

Pupatello says she continues to look for community support to help sell the region and attract business. According to the 2013 Annual Report, WEEDC was able to attract $10-million in new investment, creating 84 new jobs and the potential for 200 more.
