Town of Essex administration is putting together its first strategic plan for its parks, recreation and cultural development since amalgamation in 1999.

The first of three open houses to gather public input was held earlier this past week in Harrow.

“Finish getting the trail connected from Colchester harbour up to at least the [Chrysler] Greenway,” says Chris Carter, the Harrow resident looking for trail expansion. “Once you’re on there, you can get to all over the place.”

The open houses run from 5:30pm to 7pm with the next one set for Tuesday at the Essex Centre Sports Complex and the final open house scheduled for the McGregor Communtiy Centre on June 19. There’s also a survey on the town’s website.
