Improvements to Drouillard Rd. Underpass

The scope of work for improvements to the rail underpass at Drouillard Rd. and Wyandotte St. is being reduced.

The budget is set at $800,000 and will include improvements to the lighting, painting the walls and clearing invasive plants along the walls and structures.

Mike Clements with the city says the goal is to make it a more inviting entrance to the Drouillard Rd. community. “The other thing we’ll be doing is we’ll be putting up some signage for the BIA as well, that will be lit, so it identifies the Drouillard Rd. BIA where the entrance is. That will also be done so that will help also with the look of the underpass.”

Some of the clean-up work will begin this fall but the majority of the work will start in the spring of 2015.
