Four national titles later, Windsor Lancer’s women’s basketball team captain Jessica Clemencon is turning pro.

The 25-year-old just signed a three-year contract with a professional club in her home country of France.

She says all of her experiences as a player and member of the Windsor community will be coming with her overseas. “I think I’ve learned a lot as a player, but also as a person. I’ve had a lot of responsibilities,” explains Clemencon. “It was my role to make sure to score and the past two years I was also team captain.”

Clemencon spent five years at the University of Windsor. In that time she was named CIS Female Athlete of the Year and CIS Women’s Basketball Player of the Year. She was also a CIS all-Canadian and three-time OUA first-team all-star.
