Kingsville Residents Highlighting Stroke Care
The Windsor Essex District Stroke Centre is getting a boost, thanks to a couple of Kingsville farmers.
Lee and Maria Mastronardi of Lee and Maria’s Market are donating a $1,000 after a family member received care at Windsor Regional Hospital’s Ouellette Campus.
Interim District Stroke Coordinator at the hospital Denise St. Louis would like to see the money go towards continued professional education. “I think in supporting our professionals that take care of stroke patients and advancing their education, we can improve stroke care.”
This donation is timely, as June is Stroke Awareness Month. There are more than 88,000 people living with stroke in Ontario.
