Windsor Stars striker Mike Pio is setting his sights on more success for not only himself, but club as well.

“Honestly, I need to help lead my team, score goals and lead the team that way, in my own personal way,” says Pio, the south Windsor native who is a two-time WESPY Award winner. “Everyone has a different role on the team and I have to play my part to be successful.”

“The league so far from what we’ve seen, we’re definitely capable of being top team in the league and winning it so, that’s one of our goals for sure,” says Pio, commenting on the team’s chances in the new league.

The Windsor Stars are back on the road for their second game of the League1 Ontario season taking on ANB Futbol in Toronto for 6pm after opening the season with a 2-2 tie on the road against Toronto International. The Windsor Stars home opener is set for June 14 at McHugh Field.
