Attempted Murder Victim Expected To Recover

A 13-year-old boy who suffered serious injuries after being attacked with a hammer is expected to recover.

The Windsor Police Service says the boy suffered multiple skull fractures when he was attacked on Friday around 10:45am, in the 1000-block of Church St.

He was transported to a London hospital where police say the boy’s condition has improved. He is expected to make a full recovery.

Rafid Jihad, 28, was arrested Friday after the incident and has now been formally charged with attempted murder.
