Fatal Fire Cause Unknown

Lakeshore fire is estimating a fire that took a woman’s life caused around $300,000 of physical damage to the property.
The investigation into the fire is now complete, however a cause has not yet been determined.
A disconnected smoke alarm was found in the suite meaning no early warning was available for the occupant to get out.
Sonya Derose, 74, died in Tuesday night’s blaze on Notre Dame St. in Belle River.
