Chamber Hosts Election Debate

Representing the Windsor-West riding PC Candidate Henry Lau, incumbent Liberal Candidate Teresa Piruzza and NDP candidate Lisa Gretzky

The candidates from the three major political parties took part in a debate this morning hosted by the Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Questions came from chamber members and included local issues like jobs, automotive strategies, the creation of a new hospital and the horse racing industry.

Chamber President Matt Marchand says it’s important to frame the discussion for the business community and public at large. “They all did a very good job at articulating their ideas and their solutions to the problems and issues that are facing our region. It will be up to the people of the community to render their own judgement as to whether they felt they did that effectively or not.”

Around 80-90 people attended the debate at the Caboto Club this morning. The debate will be replayed tonight and tomorrow night on TV Cogeco.
