Arrest In Two Robberies

A 26-year-old man faces charges after two robberies in Windsor Tuesday.

Windsor police arrested a suspect at a home in the 700-block of Giles Blvd.E. around 9:30pm Wednesday.

Tuesday night, a man threatened the clerk at Erie Daily Convenience with a knife. Hours later, the Tim Hortons at Wyandotte St. E and Walker Rd. was held up. The suspect was recorded on video surveillance at both locations, and police released photos to the media Wednesday.

John Alexander Zdonek is charged with robbery, robbery with a weapon, two counts of having face masked with intent to commit an indictable offence, and possession of a weapon for committing an offence.
