Coast Guard Rescues Injured Man

The captain of a pleasure boat on Lake St.Clair is recovering after he was evacuated for a medical emergency over the weekend.

The U.S. Coast Guard says it got a call from a pleasure boat near Grosse Pointe, Michigan around 5pm Sunday. The captain hurt a finger between the hull of the boat and a personal watercraft.

A Station St.Clair Shores boat crew responded and the coxswain decided the man needed immediate medical attention. He was taken to St.John Hospital & Medical Centre in Detroit.

The boat, with seven people onboard, was towed back to the pier.
