Discovering More About Windsor’s Riverfront

The City of Windsor is looking for volunteers to help highlight its sculpture park along the Detroit River through a new program called Our Space.
Manager of Cultural Affairs Cathy Masterson says it allows groups to provide unique activities along the riverfront which incorporate the sculpture park in an educational or entertaining way. “For example, we just worked with the local chapter of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, who had a night time program down at the sculpture park. They had about 250 people who came out to look at our skyline and have the opportunity to interact with the astronomers and learn a bit about star gazing down at the waterfront.”
Masterson hopes to support Our Space programming along the riverfront every Tuesday and Saturday throughout the summer.
