A Deal With The Devils

Windsor Spitfires Left Winger Ben Johnson is an official member of the New Jersey Devils.

The 19-year-old signed a three-year, two-way contract on Tuesday.

Johnson was a third-round pick of the Devils at the 2012 NHL Draft.

At the winger’s age, he could play one more season in a Spits uniform, although it’ll now be up to New Jersey to determine if they think their player should spend another year in the OHL.

Johnson put up career numbers as a Spitfire last season, scoring 28 goals and 25 assists, with a plus-minus of +18.
