Windsor West MPP Teresa Piruzza is laying out her platform for the coming provincial election.

She’s been going door-to-door talking to constituents, who she says are more concerned about local issues than Liberal Party scandals like ORNGE and the gas plants, which have made headlines across Ontario. “People are concerned, to make sure employment and investment comes to this area. They want to ensure Chrysler stays in this area. People want to speak to me about our progress on a new hospital in this area. They want to see infrastructure continuing to come into this area. They want to ensure that we continue to invest in our families.”

Piruzza is calling for a National Automotive Strategy, in partnership with Ontario, to help expand automotive production in Windsor. She’s also hoping that the Liberals get the chance to pass their $2.5-billion Jobs & Prosperity Fund which is expected to bring new investment to the area.

Piruzza held a news conference Friday in front of the Schlegel Villages construction site in Windsor’s south end.
