Waterfront Hotel Workers Negotiating Contract

Contract negotiations at the Waterfront Hotel continue today.
The approximately 55 employees are in a legal strike position should they not reach an agreement with management.
President of Unifor Local 195 Gerry Farnham says there is a conference call scheduled for today at noon. “Until I hear what the employer has to give us, if they’ve changed their position, I’m being cautiously optimistic.”
Farnham says the union will evaluate its options following that conversation. Wages and benefit packages are the biggest issues still being negotiated.
