A’burg Development Charges Review

The Town of Amherstburg is hiring a consultant to complete a five-year review of its development charges.
Watson and Associates Economists will complete the review for $29,700.
Mayor Wayne Hurst says the review is necessary to make sure the town stays competitive with surrounding municipalities. “You want to be in a position when you make that determination it’s a defendable determination and you can express exactly why you have made it. So the information that will be gathered by this consultant will allow us to do that.”
The development charges review should be completed by September of this year.
