UPDATE: Charges In Shooting Investigation

23-year-old Charles Pinnace is facing charges as police continue their investigation into a shooting on Pierre Ave. at Erie St. on Thursday.

Officers executed a search warrant on Friday at about 6pm at an apartment building found on the northeast corner of Pierre Ave. and Erie St. E. Police say a firearm and cocaine were found in the apartment unit.

The Windsor man is charged with offences related to the seized firearm and drugs.

Police are confident they’ve recovered both firearms believed to have been used in the shooting.┬áThe shooting suspect is still at large and is described:

  • Arabic or light-skinned black man
  • 5’6″ or 5’7″ in height
  • Skinny build
  • Short “buzzed” haircut
  • Last seen wearing a white shirt with black around the collar and around the sleeve cuffs
  • In his 20’s

Police say the shooting suspect arrived at and left the crime scene in a car described as either a black Pontiac Sunfire or Chevrolet Impala. Police are also looking for a man who appeared to have been hurt during the shooting, but left the scene in another vehicle.
