Leamington Names Neufeld CAO

The Municipality of Leamington is introducing its new Chief Administrative Officer.

Leamington resident Peter Neufeld will be taking over for long-time CAO Bill Marck on July 7.

Mayor John Paterson says Neufeld has senior management experience, spending time as Director of Labour Relations at Windsor Regional Hospital and as Chief Operations Officer at the Windsor Utilities Commission. “He has a great reputation for leadership, he has a great personality, and is a good strategic thinker. That’s how he got through the (hiring) process the way he did. He’s got very strong ties in our community, and is committed to the success of Leamington.”

Paterson says the search for a new CAO started back in February, with the municipality receiving applications from across Canada. Marck announced his retirement last year, after 28 years on the job.
