Parents with children attending St. Gregory Catholic Elementary School and St. Pius X Catholic Elementary School plan to be vocal again at a special meeting to discuss the Tecumseh accommodation review.

Trustees, parents and members of the community meet at 6pm tonight at St. Anne’s Catholic High School in Belle River.

Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board Director of Education Paul Picard’s supplementary accommodation option would consolidate all junior kindergarten to Grade 6 students from the two schools at St. Pius X, and all Grade 7 and 8 students at St. Gregory until 2016.

The parents want the school board to hold off on recommendations for two years. Parent Cynthia Villella says that will give the board the “opportunity to fully explore other proposed solutions.”
