LaSalle Police Looking for Caller

The LaSalle Police Service is asking for the public’s help in locating the individual who made numerous fake 911 calls last week.

The calls triggered an extensive ground and air search for what sounded like a distressed caller. “The frustrating part is that obviously we have no issue at all if someone needs our help any money spent is valid. But in this case we are using so much of our resources regarding officer salaries, fire department, I don’t know what the bill would be from the RCMP for their plane but I’m sure that can’t be cheap,” says Community Liaison Officer Jamie Nestor.

He says they were unable to trace the calls to a specific number. If the person is caught they could face charges of public mischief.

Nestor urges the public to come forward if they have any information about the caller.
