Leamington’s mayor will be sharing what he learned at the OSUM conference in Parry Sound last week with planning staff at the municipality.

John Paterson says one of the seminars gave him greater insight into creating more people-friendly streets.

“You look after the pedestrians first, then you look after the cyclists and then you look after the cars,” says Paterson. “There are some ideas out there that could be implemented in the core area and even down Erie St. South where our other business areas are.”

Paterson and Leamington Councillor Larry Verbeke attended the Ontario Small Urban Municipalities conference running from Wednesday to Friday last week.
