Police Search For 911 Caller

Police in LaSalle want to hear from anyone with information after several calls were made to dispatch overnight from a caller who sounded like they were in distress.

Police say the voice was faint as if the caller had trouble breathing, and the caller couldn’t say where they were other than to say they were outside.

When dispatchers called the number back it was invalid, although it was able to make outgoing 911 calls.

GPS tracking was able to locate the phone in the area of Morton Dr. and Malden Rd., but a ground search of the area and a canvass in the neighbourhood came up empty. Police have requested an aerial search of nearby Brunet Park and Morton Trails from RCMP Search and Rescue.

If you have information, call the LaSalle Police Service at 519-969-5210.
