University Approves Spending On Buildings
The University of Windsor is finalizing capital expenditures at the Windsor Armouries and Innovation Centre.
The armouries will become the new School of Creative Arts with an investment of $32.6-million. President Alan Wildeman says the goal is to preserve the history of the building, but still make it a modern and exciting place to study.
Another $4.1-million is being allocated to complete the interior of the new Innovation Centre on the university’s campus.
The downtown School of Creative Arts is scheduled to open in the fall of 2016, while the Innovation Centre is expected to open its doors this coming year.
