A house fire is currently under investigation after a resident was injured during the blaze.

The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service says just before 6:30pm on Wednesday, firefighters were called to 790 Windsor Ave. for a fire that started outside around the rear porch of the home. Fire crews were able to get the blaze under control by 7:30pm.

The injured male resident suffered minor burn injuries and was transported to hospital.

An investigator has attended the scene and determined the fire was caused by an outdoor barbecue. Fire officials say damage to the house and its contents is estimated at $150,000.
