The Snow Angels program in Windsor will continue after having one of its most successful winters to date.

With the the most severe winter on record in Windsor, the program saw an increase of volunteers and requests for service.

City Engineer Mario Sonego says they hope to start the recruiting process early this fall to increase participation. “We are recommending that the Snow Angel program continue next January and we ask the funding be pre-approved in the 2015 operating budget in the amount of $25,000 so we can get an early start in September of this year to get the program underway.”

Sonego says the hiring of a part-time program coordinator really helped to get the program off the ground this year.
