Kingsville’s Olympians, Meghan Agosta-Marciano and Corbin Watson, were welcomed home on Saturday with a parade up Main St.

“Brought the community together,” says Dave Laman, walking in the parade with his Kingsville atom hockey players. “Whole bunch of hockey teams, soccer teams, lacrosse guys; it was a good mix of everything.”

“It’s just wonderful to see the support that they have,” says Laurie Simpson, one of the hundreds lining the street to see the local Olympic stars. “There were a lot of people out to support [Agosta-Marciano] today, there’s a lot of support for Corbin and they all stand behind them 100%.”

Agosta-Marciano won gold with the Canadian women’s hockey team while Watson took bronze with Canada’s men’s sledge hockey team at the Sochi Games. Fans got a chance to pose for pictures and get autographs after the parade wrapped up.
