Housing Activity Continues Downward Trend

The Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors reports an almost 10% drop in total market activity across Windsor-Essex last month compared to March 2013.

Housing sales dropped 6.56% in March compared to the same month last year. The number of homes that changed hands was 342 compared to 366. Year to date, sales are down 16.7%.

The average price of a home also staggered slightly, down 1.79% to $176,067, although the year to date figures suggest an increase of 2.48%.

Lakeshore continues to enjoy the highest home sales in the county. In Windsor, the most sales are recorded in the central/downtown area.
