Windsor-Essex Groups Receive Trillium Grants file photo, the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.

Family Services Windsor-Essex is getting the largest share of Trillium Grants locally.

The agency will receive $230,000 this year and $140,000 over the next two years for a new hub in Essex and some IT work. The Sexual Assault Crisis Centre is also getting $150,000 to put toward the Essex hub.

Other grant recipients include the Windsor Art Gallery and the Pelee Island Community Arts association, which is looking to hold a local music festival on the island.

As well, the Muslim Association of Canada will receive $309,000 over three years for upgrades to the Rose City Islamic Centre, including a new A/C unit. The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County will use $212,500 for a three year fund raising campaign.
