The Ontario Hockey League Coaches Poll 2013-2014 results are out, and a few Spitfires are being recognized.

Forward Brady Vail has been voted the Western Conference’s most underrated player. He also came second in the best on face-offs category.

Slater Koekkoek finished second in the category of best offensive defenceman and third in best defensive defenceman. ¬†Belle River’s Aaron Ekblad of the Barrie Colts took both of those top honours in the Eastern Conference.

Forward Ben Johnson received the third most votes in the hardest worker category, while coaches say former Spitfire Kerby Rychel has the second-best shot in the Western Conference. ¬†Former Windsor defenceman Nick Ebert also made the list, for having the Western Conference’s hardest shot.
