It’s a fourth straight CIS championship for the Lancers women’s basketball team.

Star guard and team veteran Miah-Marie Langlois didn’t feel any nerves heading into the final against Halifax’s St. Mary’s Huskies. Langlois finished with seven assists in her last game for the Lancers after being with the team for the four consecutive Bronze Baby Trophies.

“Best championship ever,” says Langlois. “The first and the last because you know you got the taste of it at the beginning and then this is like the nice farewell gift.”

The Lancers topped the Huskies 71-45 at the St. Denis Centre with tournament all-star Jessica Clemencon recording a team-best 19 points with Korissa Williams grabbing a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Jocelyn LaRocque finished second on the Lancers with 15 points while Justine Colley with the Huskies had a game-high 20 points.
