A 24-year-old man is facing charges for drug possession and having break-in tools.
Police say officers responded to a call of a suspicious person around 6am this morning in the area of Chatham Warehousing on Patteson Ave.
The man was arrested for trespassing and was then found to be in possession of crystal meth, wire cutters, wire strippers, screw drivers, pry bars and wrenches.
He has been released pending a future court date.
A 26-year-old Raleigh Township man is facing an assault charge after an argument with his common law wife.
Investigators say the man assaulted the woman then punched the window of her van when she tried to flee with the children.
The woman was treated at a Chatham-Kent hospital for undisclosed injuries.
The man faces one charge of assault causing bodily harm.
A 52-year-old man faces a charge of assault with a weapon for sitting on a family member and holding a pillow on his head, police say.
In happened back in February.
Investigators say the man and a family member got into a fight in Harwich Township and it escalated.
The victim was able to free himself and a warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest.
He was arrested yesterday.
Police are searching for suspects after a break and enter in Wheatley.
Thieves made away with $2,000 in cash and jewelry while the homeowners were outside doing yardwork.
It happened between 12:30pm and 4pm.
