Messy Storm On The Way
A messy mix of weather could be on its way to southwestern Ontario in time for Friday morning’s commute.
Environment Canada’s Geoff Coulson says there’s an approaching system from the Prairies.
“We could see the precipitation from that system start as snow, perhaps even get a little bit of freezing rain during the early morning hours on Friday,” says Coulson. “Before those temperatures get to well above freezing and the precipitation changes over to showers during the day on Friday.”
Friday’s high is forecast to be 11 C (52 F.)
Coulson says the warmer than usual temperatures will stick around for the weekend before returning to more seasonal levels, around the 0 C (32 F) mark, next week.
