Grey Bruce Women’s Shelter Sees More Calls

Area women’s shelters say they have seen an increase in calls over the past several weeks.
Bernice Connell with the Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey says the recent public allegations against former CBC radio host Jian Ghomeshi has seen more women come forward – along with their recent “Shine the Light” campaign.
According to a recent national study, only 33 of every 1,000 sexual assault cases are reported to authorities.
